Class Descriptions

Open Level Modern

Ages 8-12

Learn the foundations of Modern dance!  Floorwork, jumps, turns, and creative exploration are introduced in each class.  Students will also learn to work in small groups and partners to create their own dances.

Open Level Jazz/Tap

Ages 8-12

Fun new combinations will be taught in this energetic class!  Students will keep their tap skills sharp and work on refining their jazz moves every week. 

Pointe Conditioning

Ages 12+

Ideal for students already en pointe, this class will focus on building muscle groups specific to pointe along with strengthening skills needed for this style of dance.

Hip Hop I

Ages 8-12

Hip hop is a fast-paced dance style using street dance moves set to hip hop music.  This class for younger beginners specifically focuses on developing rhythm and coordination while encouraging individual style.

Open Level Ballet 

Ages 8-12

Classic Ballet moves are taught through new combinations!  Proper alignment, positioning, and terminology are all covered each class.  Students will work on turns, leaps, and more!

Open Level Musical Theatre

Ages 8-12

Musical theatre dancing is rooted in Broadway musicals. Relying heavily on a knowledge of ballet, tap, and jazz, musical theater dancers place a high focus on musical interpretation.

Dance with Me

Ages 1.5-3 with Caregiver

Explore rhythm and movement in this delightful class!  Introduce your child to the world of dance through songs, stretches, and basic movements.  Caregivers will assist each child in participation.

Preschool Ballet/Tap

Ages 3-4

Young dancers will learn the foundations of Ballet and Tap dance in this exciting class!  Creative movement exercises will engage your child’s imagination.

PreK Ballet/Tap

Ages 4-5

The basics of Ballet and Tap continue in this young dancers’ class.  Learning dance class etiquette and simple choreography are all taught through fun dance games and exercises.

Beginner Ballet/Tap

Ages 6-7

Building on the foundations of Ballet and Tap, students will learn exciting new dances and learn new moves through creative movement.
